Community Activities within Walking Distance of RiverEdge
The Tonawandas
The Tonawandas have become an exciting area in which to live, work, and play. Our cities are large enough to have plenty of activities and entertainment venues and yet small enough to be able to get around town easily and to know your neighbors, police officers and other public servants. And we are just a short 12-minute car ride from downtown Buffalo and all of its vibrant day and night life. It’s easy to see how the Tonawandas are emerging as a destination for those living outside of our communities! And there's no place in Western New York with the fabulous water frontage that our parks provide to their residents for walking, running, biking, skating, boating and relaxing.
Food Scene
It's challenging to find a area in Western New York with as many great dining options - all within walking distance from RiverEdge. Vibrant fine dining restaurants Remington Tavern, Websters Bistro and Canal Club 62 bookend a host of casual fare places including Joey’s Place, Frankie Primo's +39, Prescott’s Provisions, Kelly’s Tavern on the Green, Guud and Evul Vegan Eats, Twin City Deli, Yummy Thai and Figmor Cafe as well as the legendary Mississippi Mudds and a wide variety of fast food, pizza and international places.
Concerts
The Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda is the crown jewel in vibrant local concert scene. The Riv features great entertainment year-round to supplement the active summer season that includes Gateway Harbor Park, the Niawanda Park Bandstand and various live music groups in a host of local restaurants.
Canal Fest
Every July the Tonawandas host one of the preeminent fun-filled events in Western New York - Canal Fest. The week-long event features parades, amusements, music, food and of course water and boating activities.
